About

Who I am, and what I work on now.

I study computer science. I am a junior.

I like software that touches the real world. I have built a sign language recognizer, a drone that finds its position without GPS, and a sensor node that watches a hydroponic garden. In high school I led the programming team of an FRC robotics team. I also founded the computer science club at my school.

At a university research lab, I build data pipelines. They turn journal articles, satellite crop maps, and weather data into datasets for research. I also write the tests for that code, and I have learned that coverage alone does not catch bugs.

Outside of code, I take a photo walk every month with a Canon T7. I also build small tools for karaoke. I speak English and Mandarin, and I speak some Spanish.

Now

  • Building data pipelines for agricultural research.
  • Building a document-extraction pipeline for farmers-market research.
  • Working as a research assistant on health education modules.
  • Looking for a software internship for summer 2027.
