Google Maps holds data on EV charging stations and on what drivers say about them. It has no public way to get every review. The Places API returns at most five reviews for each place.
This crawler collects EV charging stations and their reviews from Google Maps. It builds an index of places first, then collects the reviews for each place. Browsers run with a visible window, because headless browsers fail. The crawler waits between requests, and the delays are configurable.
Each browser runs in a Docker container on a virtual display. A browser that is not signed in gets about five reviews per place, so the crawler uses a signed-in session.
