FRC robot vision
An AprilTag vision pipeline and a Raspberry Pi co-processor for an FRC robot.

An FRC robot must find scoring targets and aim at them in a short match. A human driver alone is slower and less exact than a robot that uses its own camera.
This vision pipeline detects AprilTags, aims the robot automatically, and aligns it automatically. It gives the robot autonomous target acquisition and scoring routines in competition matches.
The camera work runs on a dedicated Raspberry Pi vision co-processor. This isolates the camera load from the main robot controller. Under competition load, this improves real-time reliability.
Autonomous routines join the vision system, the drivetrain, and the game-piece manipulation subsystems into one sequence.
