Many people who sign have no easy way to talk with people who do not.
SignBridge reads the American Sign Language alphabet from a live camera feed. It shows the recognized letter on screen as the signer moves their hand.
A YOLO object detection model learned the hand sign for each letter from images. The application takes frames from the camera, runs the model on each frame, and draws the result as live feedback.
The trained model reached 98.36 % accuracy. The model recognizes the alphabet only. It does not read whole words or sentences.
